New MCR movie

Here you can see a movie including the normalized time exposures and the associated variance maps, along with the wind and tide record from the buoy NOAA 46029 and DMNO3 (see here for location map). I did this movie in an attempt to see visaully the possible influence of the wind on the background level of backscatter. A clear correlation is not readily apparent, whilst the signal seems to be more related with wave breaking.
